$200,000 Rhode Island PowerBall® Winner

There was a $200,000 winning ticket sold in Rhode Island for last night’s $72.9 million PowerBall® drawing.  The ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the PowerBall number.  The standard payout for this type of win is $200,000.  However, if this player had opted to purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager, the $200,000 prize would have been multiplied by four, Wednesday’s Power Play® number, to equal $800,000.

The $200,000 winning ticket was purchased from Jefferson Global at 15 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick.  The prize has yet to be claimed.

Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $83 million.
