Rhode Island Has Big Weekend Winners: $237,525 Wild Money Jackpot Hit and $10,000 PowerBall® Winner
There were four tickets sold in Rhode Island that proved to be big winners over the weekend. The $237,525 Wild Money jackpot was hit by three separate ticket holders accompanied by a $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket.
Wild Money, Rhode Island’s own progressive jackpot game, made three lucky players $79,175 richer Saturday night. The $237,525 was split evenly between the winning tickets. The locations where these tickets were sold are listed below.
| Heritage Liquors |
Dairy Land Farms |
Sam’s Food Mart |
| 529 Reservoir Avenue |
723 Quaker Lane |
200 Pleasant View Avenue |
| Cranston |
West Warwick |
Smithfield |
The $10,000 winning ticket also sold in Rhode Island for Saturday night’s $89 million PowerBall® drawing, matched 4 numbers and the PowerBall number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. However, if this player had opted to purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 3, Saturday’s Power Play® number, to equal $30,000.
The $10,000 winning ticket was purchased from the M&M New York System in East Providence.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall jackpot is $100 million, and Tuesday’s estimated Wild Money jackpot is $20,000.
