$200,000 Rhode Island PowerBall® Winner

Although Saturday night’s $35.3 million PowerBall® jackpot was hit in South Carolina, Rhode Island had a big winner of its own.  A $200,000 winning ticket was sold locally.  The ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the PowerBall number.  The standard payout for this type of win is $200,000.  However, if this player had opted to purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager, the $200,000 prize would have been multiplied by 3, Saturday’s Power Play® number, to equal $600,000.

The $200,000 winning ticket was purchased from Country Farms at 1200 Putnam Pike, Chepachet.  The prize has yet to be claimed.

Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $15 million.
