$200,000 PowerBall® and $40,000 Instant Ticket Prizes Claimed
It has been an extremely busy morning in the Rhode Island Lottery Validations office with a PowerBall® and Instant Ticket winner coming in within minutes of each other. The $200,000 PowerBall® winner from the May 21st drawing was shaking with excitement as he collected his money. He had matched all five numbers, but not the PowerBall® number, winning the standard payout of $200,000. The Fall River man purchased his ticket from Stateline Tobacco at 29 Stafford Rd., Tiverton, and plans to share his prize with his family, as his nephews already have ideas of what to do with the money.
A Cranston man came in next to claim a $40,000 prize he won playing the “10X the Cash” Instant Game. The winning ticket was sold from Paul’s Shell at 1036 Reservoir Ave., Cranston.
