Big Winning Tickets Cashed In
Rhode Island Lottery players have been cashing in big winning tickets, making their day happy.
A Providence man claimed $20,416 from playing number 1 3 1 4 from the June 20 drawing. He wagered $1 on four 4-digit straight tickets and on one combination ticket. He plans on taking a trip to the Dominican Republic, where he's originally from. Elmwood Liquors, 801 Elmwood Ave., Providence, sold the winning ticket.
A West Kingston man also cashed in a $17,000 Keno Plus ticket. He wagered $2 on a 10-spot and matched 9 out of 10 numbers. The 2 multiplier came out to increase his base prize of $8,500 to $17,000. He purchased the ticket while at Homestead Restaurant, 750 S. County Trail, Exeter. He was heading straight for the bank.
A woman from Cranston also won big. She cashed in a winning $10,000 "$10,000 Aces" Instant Ticket. It was a gift from her boyfriend. The winning ticket was purchased at Rite Aid, 570 Pontiac Ave., Cranston.
