Two $30,000 Instant Ticket Winners in One Day
Plus $10,000 PowerBall® Winner
Norman Phillips of Hope Valley was thrilled to kick off his week $30,000 richer. He played the "Diamonds & Gold" Instant Ticket at Hess Express, 1190 Main St., Richmond. Mr. Phillips couldn't believe he won so much and plans to take a trip up North and save the rest.
Soon after, a gentleman from Warwick also claimed $30,000! This time, the big win was from the "Royal Treasure" Instant Ticket. He's going to put it in the bank then save some for his son's college tuition, pay bills and might even go on vacation! He purchased the winning ticket at Oakland Mart, 805 Oakland Beach Ave., Warwick.
Saturday's PowerBall® drawing resulted in a $10,000 winning ticket sold in Rhode Island. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been increased to $40,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Valley Park Cervejaria, 147 Mill Street in Cumberland. The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.
Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $166 million.
