Wildly Big Jackpot, Big Winners
Couple Wins $30,000 for 30th Anniversary
Someone in Rhode Island could win $342,000 in tonight's Wild Money drawing. The jackpot has rolled 34 times since June 1 and is reaching record breaking amounts. This game is offered only in Rhode Island with odds of winning the jackpot 1 in 325,000.
Other Rhode Island Lottery games have been bringing in big winners this week. A woman from Warwick was glad she played the Rhode Island Hold 'em Poker Instant Ticket, one of her favorites. She won $30,000 and thought she won just $1,000! She plans to use it to celebrate her 30th wedding anniversary next month. The winning ticket was purchased at Buttonwoods One Stop, 214 Buttonwoods Ave., Warwick. Rhode Island Hold 'em Poker also has a 2nd chance feature for players to enter their non-winning tickets on the Lottery's website. One (1) $30,000 cash prize, one (1) "Ultimate Poker Prize Pack" that includes a poker table, chips and $1,000 Visa Gift Card, as well as five (5) $1,000 cash prizes, will be awarded on October 8. The deadline to enter is October 1 at midnight. Players can enter their tickets here, and if not already a VIP Club Member, players can sign up and access the Hold 'em Poker's second chance drawing website.
A gentleman from Providence cashed in $15,246 worth of Daily Numbers tickets. He played number 3 2 7 2 at River Ave. B & M Food Mart, 168 River Ave., Providence. He wagered $1 each on two (2) 4-digit straight tickets and $.50 each on two (2) 4-digit combination tickets.
Finally, a $10,000 Mega Millions® ticket from the August 9 drawing has been claimed by a gentleman from Seekonk, Ma. The ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. If he had chosen to play the Megaplier® option for an additional $1, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 3 to equal $30,000. He plans to pay bills. Stop & Shop, 1925 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, sold the winning ticket. Tonight's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $51 million.
