October 4, 2013$15,000 "Scratch Some Cash" Instant Ticket Winner
Two $10,000 PowerBall® Winners
A gentleman from Pawtucket cashed in a winning $15,000 "Scratch Some Cash" Instant Ticket. He seldom plays the lottery and this was the first time that he played "Scratch Some Cash". He said that he "felt good and stress-relieved" upon winning because now he can pay for school. He also plans to put some of the winnings towards his car. He purchased the winning ticket at M&R Convenience, 191 Pawtucket Ave., Pawtucket.
Additionally, there were two $10,000 winning PowerBall® tickets cashed in. Both tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a standard payout of $10,000. The Power Play® feature was not added to either ticket for an additional dollar on the wager. If the winners had, both prizes would have increased to $40,000.
A Hope Valley gentleman claimed one of the $10,000 PowerBall® tickets from the September 25 drawing on his birthday. He was very happy and plans to pay off his mortgage. He purchased the ticket at Stop & Shop, 90 Frenchtown Rd., North Kingstown.
The other $10,000 PowerBall® ticket was from the October 2 drawing and was claimed by a gentleman from West Warwick. He purchased his winning ticket at Cumberland Farms, 704 Main St., West Warwick.
Saturday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $86 million.
