$25,000 a Year for Life Winner
Someone in Rhode Island hit Lucky for Life®'s second-tier prize, $25,000 a year for the rest of his or her life, in last night's drawing. The prize is guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years, but will continue to be paid out for the duration of the winner's lifetime.
The winning ticket was sold from Shaw's Supermarket, 71 East Main Rd., Middletown. The ticket remains unclaimed.
On September 17, 2013, Lucky for Life's second-tier prize was elevated to a $25,000 a year for life payout in addition to the top prize of $1,000 a day for life. This new prize replaced the game's earlier second prize – a one-time, lump sum payment of $25,000. It's the only game in the country that offers two lifetime prizes and is sold only in New England.
Drawings are held every Monday and Thursday at 10:38pm and can be viewed on www.NELuckyforLife.com.
