$200,000, $40,000, and $10,000 Rhode Island PowerBall® Winners
Rhode Island had three big PowerBall® winners in last night’s $25 million drawing. The prizes for those big winning tickets sold for that drawing were $200,000, $40,000, and $10,000.
The $200,000 winning ticket matched all five numbers, but not the PowerBall® number. The $10,000 and $40,000 winning tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The $40,000 winner was the only player that opted to purchase the PowerPlay® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. His $10,000 prize was multiplied by four, Wednesday’s PowerPlay® number, turning his winnings into $40,000. If the other two winners had opted for the PowerPlay® feature, their winnings would also have been multiplied by four resulting in prizes of $800,000 and $40,000 respectively.
Stateline Tobacco in Tiverton sold the $200,000 winning PowerBall® ticket. The $40,000 winning ticket was bought at the Rite Aid on Main Street in West Warwick and Helen’s Place on Danielson Pike in Foster sold the $10,000 ticket. All of the prizes have yet to be claimed.
Saturday’s estimated jackpot is $35 million.
