Lucky for Life® After approximately one month, a Cranston man has finally claimed his $25,000 a Year for Life Lucky for Life® ticket from the December 23, 2013 drawing. He waited this long to come in as he was figuring out what to do. He actually just told his wife last night. He opted to take the cash option which is a lump sum payment of $390,000, before taxes. He says he'll wait to speak with his financial advisor again to figure out the best way to handle the cash prize. He matched five numbers and was two numbers away from the Lucky Ball number. He had 24, the Lucky Ball number was 22. He purchased the winning ticket at Another Liquor Store, 311 Warwick Ave., Cranston.
Wild Money Another lucky Rhode Island Lottery player has claimed a winning ticket from a local game. The $38,545 Wild Money jackpot from Saturday's drawing has been claimed by a Cranston man. He's putting the money towards his children's school tuition. He picked up the ticket at Snack's Plus, 880 Oaklawn Ave., Cranston.
Additionally, the $20,000 Wild Money ticket from the January 16 drawing has been claimed by a woman from Chepachet. She was overjoyed and said it came at the perfect time. Her mortgage is due and her car needs repairs. 7-Eleven, 535 Reservoir Ave., Cranston, sold that winning ticket.
Instant Games Karl Perreiraof Swansea, Mass., won $35,000 playing the "High Roller" Instant Ticket. It's his birthday today and 20-year wedding anniversary on Wednesday. Therefore, he's going to go on a cruise with his wife and put the rest in the bank. He purchased the ticket at Sam's Food Store, 28-30 Hartford Ave., Providence.
Lastly, a woman from West Warwick won $15,000 playing the "Coffee Cash" Instant Ticket. She doesn't know what she'll do with the money yet as she's still in shock that she won. She purchased the winning ticket at Cumberland Farms, 244 Washington St, West Warwick.
