$10,000 Winning PowerBall® Ticket From July Just Found
$400,000,000 PowerBall® Jackpot Drawing Tonight
A Pawtucket man has cashed in a winning $10,000 PowerBall® ticket he purchased last July. He put on an old jacket and found the ticket in one of the pockets. A few days later, he checked his ticket at a ticket checker, which indicated for him to come to the Rhode Island Lottery. He never expected it to be a $10,000 winner and plans to go to some place warm, like Hawaii.
Tonight's PowerBall® jackpot is an estimated $400 million. With this recent unclaimed ticket just cashed in, the Rhode Island Lottery reminds you that there are many ways to win besides hitting the PowerBall® jackpot. If a player matches 5 out of 5 numbers, he or she wins $1 million. If a player matches 5 out of 5 numbers, and chooses to play Power Play® for an extra $1, he or she would win $2 million, regardless of the multiplier number drawn. The $10,000 ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. When playing Power Play®, non-jackpot prizes are multiplied by a randomly drawn multiplier of 2, 3, 4 or 5.
Tonight's PowerBall® drawing is at 10:59pm and aired locally on WPRI-TV 12. PowerBall® Power Play® tickets may be purchased until 9:50pm on drawing nights.
