PowerBall® and Instant Ticket Winners
Yesterday afternoon, a lucky Coventry woman came in to the Lottery Validations office to claim her $10,000 PowerBall® prize from the September 3 drawing. The winning ticket was a Quick Pick, which according to her is all she plays because she worries the one time she forgets to play her numbers is the time they’ll be drawn.
The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If she had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by two, that draw’s Power Play® number, increasing the prize to $20,000.
She purchased that winning ticket from the Rhode Island Gift Center at 400 Bald Hill Road in Warwick.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $102 million. The winning continued today, when a very excited Narragansett man came in to claim a $10,000 winning 10K Payday instant ticket. He plans on surprising his wife with the news of his win tonight and taking her to Brazil to visit her parents. The winning ticket was purchased from Stop & Shop at 605 Metacom Ave., Bristol.
