$10,000 Winning PowerBall® Ticket From February Claimed
The PowerBall® drawing on February 19 produced multiple $10,000 winning tickets. Some of those prizes are still being claimed, with the most recent winner being a man from North Smithfield. He cashed in his winning ticket today and said he has not decided how he will use the money.
His ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number for the standard payout of $10,000. He did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by three, the Power Play® number for that draw, to equal $30,000. Twin River, 100 Twin River Rd., Lincoln, sold the winning ticket.
That February 19 drawing for $425 million resulted in four $10,000 winning tickets in Rhode Island. One of those prizes was claimed within a week after the drawing, another was claimed on May 23, and the third was claimed today. The final $10,000 winning ticket from that drawing was sold at Cumberland Farms at 704 Main St., West Warwick, and still remains unclaimed.
Tomorrow's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $80 million.
