Group of 40 Claims $10,000 Winning PowerBall® Ticket

The other $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold in Rhode Island for the $105 million PowerBall® drawing on September 10 has been claimed. 

40 employees from the University of Rhode Island’s Butterfield Dining Hall claimed their $10,000 prize.  The group of winners were very excited and said imagine if they had won the big jackpot, there’d be no one working in the dining hall. 

The winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms, 99 Fortin Rd., Kingston.

The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize.  The group did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager.  If they had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by two, Wednesday’s Power Play® number, increasing the prize to $20,000. 

Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $154 million.
