$10,000 PowerBall® Ticket Sold in RI
$10,416 Win on The Numbers Game
A $10,000 PowerBall® ticket was sold in Rhode Island in Saturday night's drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 2, Saturday night's Power Play® number, to equal $20,000. The winning ticket was purchased at Dave's Marketplace, 23 Shopper Pkwy, Coventry. The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.
Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $60 million.
PowerBall® isn't the only game producing winners over the weekend. There was also a $10,416 win on the Numbers game for the Saturday evening drawing. The North Providence woman came to Lottery Headquarters today, along with her father, to claim the prize. She said the 4-digit number she played was the number from her father's ID badge, 1 0 8 9. According to the winner, her father played that number for years and won a few times, and now she plays it. The winner said she'll use the money to pay off her student loans and take her Dad out to eat. She bought the $2 combo wager from H.K.B. Country Store at 224 Smithfield Rd., North Providence, and since the number came out in the exact order she played it, she won $10,000 for the straight wager and $416 for the box bet.
