$129,160 Daily Numbers Dream Come True
$43,232 Wild Money Jackpot Claimed
Plus Winners on The Numbers & Lucky Times 20 Instant Game
A Providence man had a dream about his grandmother and decided to play her birthday...and won. He left Rhode Island Lottery Headquarters this morning with $129,160, in winnings. He purchased a combination of straight, box and combo tickets at Convenience Plus, 1501 Atwood Ave., Johnston. He plans to pay bills, and he might take a trip.
Carol Chorlton (photo attached), Wakefield, claimed the $43,232 Wild Money jackpot from the November 29th drawing. She came in to the Lottery with her husband after she checked the draw results more than a hundred times on her computer. Her husband said his heart was still racing as they were cashing in the winning ticket. They plan to use the money to pay bills. The winner purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket from Healy News, 213 Robinson St., Wakefield.
The Wild Money drawings take place three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, live on WPRI-TV at 7:29pm.
Tuesday's estimated Wild Money jackpot is $26,000.
A $30,208 Numbers Midday Draw winner didn't have to wait long to claim his winnings. The North Providence man played five $1 4-digit straight bets, one $.50 4 digit straight bet, and one $.50 4 digit combo bet at Solar Gas, 1815 Smith St., North Providence on Friday morning. He then cashed in those tickets Friday afternoon winning $30,208. He said he's been playing the winning number, 1 1 0 9, his mother's birthday for years.
There was also a $20,000 Instant Ticket win by a Cranston man. The winning ticket was on the "Lucky Times 20" game, which he purchased at A & B Mart, 951 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. This wasn't his first time winning big, and he said the money from that previous win went to his children. Although he hasn't made plans for this windfall, they'll probably receive some money again.
