Two $10,000 PowerBall® Winners in Rhode Island
The $206.9 million PowerBall® jackpot may have been hit in New Mexico Saturday night, but there were still two $10,000 winning tickets sold in Rhode Island. The tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. Neither winner purchased the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the players had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prizes would have been multiplied by 4, Saturday’s Power Play® number, to equal $40,000.
One of winning tickets was purchased from Olde Smoke Shoppe on Westminster Street in Providence. It was claimed this morning from a happy Riverside woman who said she has lots of ideas for what to do with her winnings. The other ticket was purchased from Stateline Tobacco on Stafford Road in Tiverton and has yet to be claimed.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $15 million.
