$24,394 Wild Money and $20,000 Numbers Wins
A Cranston man claimed a $24,394 prize from a winning Wild Money ticket. His ticket was one of two that matched all five numbers for the December 20 Wild Money drawing, splitting the $48,788 jackpot. The other ticket was claimed by a Providence man on December 29. The Cranston winner came to the Lottery with his wife and said they wanted to wait until the new year to validate the ticket. The couple joked about having to split the jackpot saying the one time they won big, someone else won too, but they were still very grateful for the money and plan to spend it wisely. Hess at 305 Phenix Ave., Cranston, sold the winning ticket.
Tuesday's estimated Wild Money jackpot is $34,000.
A Kingston woman had some luck playing the number 1 5 0 0 in the December 28 evening drawing for the Numbers game. She said she played those four digits simply because she likes the number. The winner placed two $2 4-digit straight wagers with that number to win $20,000 total, which she plans to put in the bank. She purchased both tickets from Exeter Exxon at 561A South County Trial, Exeter.
