PowerBall® and Instant Ticket Winners
The September winning streak is ending on a good note, with winners claiming $10,000 from PowerBall® and $15,000 from an Instant Game.
The $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket was from this past Saturday’s drawing. The happy Providence couple took today off to pick up their prize. They plan on using the money to buy a new truck.
The winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The couple did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If they had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by four, Saturday’s Power Play® number, increasing their prize to $40,000.
They bought the winning ticket from the Olde Smoke Shoppe on Westminster Street in Providence.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $15 million. In addition, a lucky Pawtucket woman came in to claim a $15,000 winning Crossword 26 instant ticket. She purchased her winning ticket from Dan’s Convenience at 2699 Post Rd., Warwick. Her plans for the money include paying some bills and keeping it all to herself, rather than sharing with her husband, who was standing right next to her.
