$317 Million PowerBall® Jackpot
Recent PowerBall® Winners in Rhode Island
Wednesday's $317 million PowerBall® jackpot is at the highest amount it has reached in almost a year. If the $317 million jackpot is hit, and the winner chooses the cash option, the lump sum payment would be $220.6 million.
There have been 18 PowerBall® drawings without a jackpot winner since the current run began on November 30, 2014. However, Rhode Islanders have not walked away empty-handed, with one Charlestown woman winning $1,000,000 and four other PowerBall® tickets winning $10,000 prizes. Two of those $10,000 PowerBall® tickets remain unclaimed. They were purchased at the following locations for their respective draw dates and both matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number:
January 24, 2015
1190 Quaker Ln.,
January 28, 2015
A & G Fuel Depot
644 Putnam Pike,
These subsidiary prizes, ranging up to $1,000,000, have many players opting for the Power Play® feature, which for an extra $1 per wager, can multiply the prize amount by 2, 3, 4, or 5, up to $2,000,000.
All players should sign the back of their tickets immediately upon purchase and put them in a safe place. The tickets are the only claim to a prize.
