A $10,834 Numbers win from Old Tickets
$10,000 PowerBall® Winner
A West Warwick woman claimed a total of $10,834 on three Numbers tickets. Two tickets were from July 2014 and the other from February 2015. She purchased the two July tickets playing the number 1 2 0 5, from Sam's Food Store, 460 Pontiac Ave., Cranston and Los Primos Liquors, 219 Academy Ave., Providence. Both tickets were $1 4-digit straight bets for the July, 22, 2014 drawing, and won $5,000. The winner also purchased a $1 Box wager playing the number 2 4 4 2, from Los Primos Liquors for the February 18, 2015 drawing and won $834.
Saturday's $80 million PowerBall® drawing resulted in a $10,000 winning ticket.
The winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a standard payout of $10,000. The winner did not opt to play Power Play® for an extra dollar on the wager, which would have multiplied the $10,000 prize by two, Saturday's Power Play® number, to equal $20,000.
The $10,000 winning ticket was sold at Stop & Shop, 200 Atwood Ave., Cranston. The prize has yet to be claimed.
Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $40 million.
