Rhode Island Lottery Players Are Lucky with PowerBall® Plus a $12,000 Instant Games Winner
Saturday night’s $33.6 million PowerBall® jackpot drawing was lucky for three Rhode Island Lottery players. There was a $40,000 PowerBall® PowerPlay® winner and two $10,000 PowerBall® winners. The tickets all matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. Only one of the winners purchased the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. His prize was multiplied by four, Saturday’s Power Play® number, changing his winnings to $40,000.
The $40,000 ticket was purchased from Cumberland Farms, 400 Metacom Ave., Bristol. One of the $10,000 winning tickets was sold by Stop & Shop on George Washington Highway in Lincoln. Neither of those prizes have been claimed.
A man from Hope, RI, came in this morning to claim the other $10,000 prize He said this win comes at a perfect time with his daughter getting ready to have a baby in November. He bought this ticket from Stop & Shop at 200 Atwood Ave., Cranston.
Also, a Cranston man claimed a winning $10,000 PowerBall® ticket from the October 8th drawing as he just checked his ticket. He purchased the winning ticket from Pontiac Food Mart on Pontiac Avenue in Cranston.
