$10,000 PowerBall® Winners in Rhode Island

A $10,000 winning ticket was sold in Rhode Island for Saturday night’s $49,700,000 PowerBall® drawing.  The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number.  The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000.  However, if this player had opted to purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by two, Saturday’s Power Play® number, to equal $20,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at Riverside Liquors on Bullocks Point Avenue in Riverside.  The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.

The $10,000 PowerBall® prize from the drawing on October 18 was claimed by a lucky Smithfield woman.  She bought her winning ticket from the Stop & Shop on George Washington Highway in Lincoln.  The winner plans to give some of the prize money to her Church and also take her family on vacation. 

Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $59 million.
