A Coventry man claimed the $50,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold at Stop & Shop, 900 Tiogue Ave., Coventry. He is a twenty-year Navy Veteran, who has been around the world several times. When asked how he'll spend his winnings, he laughed; and said "Well I will not be using the money won to travel." In fact, he does not have any immediate plans. He wants to simply enjoy life, and this win will certainly help him do so. His winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number to win $50,000. He has been playing the same numbers, which represent his birth date.

RI Lottery winnerJohn Diggle of Greenville claimed the $100,000 winning PowerBall® PowerPlay® ticket sold at Tavares News, 30 High St., Pawtucket. His ticket also matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number.  However, he added PowerPlay® to his wager for an extra dollar, which multiplied his prize by two, last night's PowerPlay® number, to equal $100,000.  He has worked for National Grid for 40 years and will save the money won for his retirement. He too has been playing the same numbers, which represent his parents' birthdays. All other prizes listed in the chart above have yet to be claimed.
