Providence Man Claims $50,000 PowerBall® Ticket
Barrington Man Wins $12,000 Playing Keno Plus
Ralph Lord of Providence claimed a winning $50,000 PowerBall® ticket from the March 23rd drawing. Over the weekend, he checked his ticket using the ticket checker at a retailer, which read, "Go to the Lottery."
Mr. Lord's ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number for the standard payout of $50,000. He did not purchase the PowerPlay® feature for an additional $1 on the wager, which would have multiplied his prize by 3, the PowerPlay® number for last Wednesday's draw, to win $150,000. Mr. Lord feels happy to have won and said he does not have any plans for the winnings yet.
East Side Prescription Center, 632 Hope St., Providence, sold the winning ticket.
The other $50,000 PowerBall® ticket from the March 23rd drawing sold at Nayco Stores, 198 Front St., Lincoln, has yet to be claimed.
Wednesday's estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $116 million.
Playing Keno proved lucky for a Barrington Man who cashed in a winning $12,000 Keno Plus ticket he bought earlier today. He wagered $5 on a 6-spot game for a standard payout of $6,000. However, because he added the Keno Plus feature, his prize multiplied by 2, the Keno Plus number for that drawing, to win $12,000.
Anthony Almeida VFW, 850 Hope St., Bristol, sold the winning ticket.
