$55,479 Winning Wild Money Ticket Claimed

A family from Woonsocket had a lot to be thankful for as they won $55,479 in the Wild Money drawing on Thanksgiving night.   

With company over that evening, they didn’t check their ticket to see if they won until the next day.  The husband went on the computer early that morning to check and when he realized he had the winning ticket he was so shocked.  He didn’t want to yell out with excitement and scare everyone, so instead he woke up each family member with tears in his eyes to tell them the news.

The lucky winner purchased his ticket from the Gulf Express at 3 Pine Swamp Rd., Cumberland.  

The Wild Money drawings take place three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, live on WPRI-TV at 7:29pm.   Tuesday night’s estimated jackpot is $22,000.
