Father and Two Sons Claim $200,000 PowerBall® PowerPlay® Ticket
A man from West Warwick and his two sons claimed the $200,000 winning PowerBall® PowerPlay® ticket sold in Rhode Island for Saturday night's drawing. Their winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, to win the standard payout of $50,000. But, they opted to pay an additional dollar on their wager for the PowerPlay® feature, which multiplied the prize by 4, Saturday night's PowerPlay® number, to win $200,000. The man said he initially thought he won $50,000, and he screamed with excitement. When he realized he had played PowerPlay® and had actually won $200,000, he screamed even louder! He said he and his sons play PowerBall® together regularly. The winning combination, 05 07 09 20 23 and 26, represent numbers found in a fortune cookie they had while out to dinner. One son plans to put his portion of the prize money towards a pool, the other towards a new truck; and as for dad, he plans to save his share. Legris Ave Xtra Mart, 139 Legris Ave., West Warwick sold the winning ticket.
