Sunday's Daily Numbers Draw Pays Out 977%
$25,000 Daily Numbers Winner & $40,000 Instant Ticket Winner Both Plan to Take a Vacation
Sunday's Daily Numbers Midday drawing gave several Rhode Island Lottery players something to celebrate. The lucky numbers drawn were 1 1 1 6, which paid out 977%. The Rhode Island Lottery paid out $160,591 worth of prizes, and received $16,431 in net sales. A total of 52 tickets were sold with a prize value of $2,500 or higher.
One of the big winners, a woman from Exeter, was eager to claim her $25,000 Daily Numbers prize this morning. She wagered $1.00 on four 4-digit combo bets. She matched all four digits in the exact order they were drawn to win $5,000 for each straight bet, plus $1,250 for each box bet, equaling $25,000. The winning number combination she played, 1 1 1 6, represents her daughter's birthdate. She said her daughter will be turning 21 years old this November 16th and has planned a birthday vacation getaway, which the winner did not think she would be able to join in on until now. She purchased the winning tickets at Exeter Variety Store, 250C South County Trl., Exeter.
The Daily Numbers drawings take place Monday through Saturday at 1:30 pm and 6:59 pm and at 1:30 pm and 6:29 pm on Sundays.
Another happy winner, a woman from Bellingham, Massachusetts, claimed a $40,000 "50X the Money" Instant Ticket prize. She said she loves playing the Rhode Island "Multiplier" Instant Tickets saying they're simple to play and full of prizes. She plans to use a portion of the money won to go on vacation, but has not decided on a destination. She purchased the winning ticket at Cumberland Farms, 66 Market St., Warren.
