June 8, 2017

$1 Million powerball® ticket sold in Rhode Island

A $1 million winning PowerBall® ticket was sold in Rhode Island for last night's draw. The winning ticket matched all five numbers but not the PowerBall® number to win $1,000,000. Darlington Liquors, 346 Armistice Blvd., Pawtucket, sold the winning ticket. The prize has yet to be claimed.

Saturday's estimated Powerball® jackpot is $435 million. Saturday's drawing will be the 20th roll in the current draw cycle that started on April 5, 2017. Interestingly, the record $1.586 billion jackpot was hit on the 20th roll in January 2016. Saturday's grand prize is on target to be Powerball's 8th largest jackpot. Powerball® Tickets can be purchased up until 9:50p.m. on draw days.

All players should sign the back of their tickets immediately upon purchase and put them in a safe place. The tickets are the only claim to a prize.
