Florida Woman Claims $25,000 a Year for Life Lucky for Life™ Ticket
$50,000 Powerball® Wins
A woman from Palm Bay, Florida, claimed the Lucky for Life™ ticket winning $25,000 a year for life from the August 28th draw. She matched all five numbers, but not the Lucky Ball, to win that prize. Originally from Rhode Island, the winner returns each summer to visit her brother. She purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket at Rite Aid, 220 Newport Ave., East Providence. She plans to invest her winnings.
Two men from Woonsocket split the $50,000 Powerball® prize from the August 23rd draw. Their winning ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball® number to win $50,000. They did not purchase the Power Play® feature, which would have multiplied their prize by 4, the Power Play® number for that draw, to win $200,000 instead of $50,000. They purchased the winning ticket at Li'l General, 601 Winter St., Woonsocket. One of the winners plans to put his portion of the prize towards a house, and the other does not have any immediate plans.
A winning $50,000 Powerball® ticket was sold in Rhode Island for the September 2nd draw. The winning ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball® number to win $50,000. If the winner had purchased the Power Play® feature, their prize would have been multiplied by 2, the Power Play® number for that draw, to win $100,000 instead of $50,000. The prize has yet to be claimed. Pawtucket Wine & Spirits, 368 Cottage St., Pawtucket, sold the winning ticket.
