PowerBall® and Instant Ticket Winners
A $40,000 winning Lucky Cash, instant ticket, was claimed by a Cranston man, along with his wife. They said that their big win is proof to everyone that thinks you can never win that much money that it really does happen. According to the couple, they already donate to some charities and now they’ll be able to increase their donations to those worthy causes. The winning Lucky Cash instant ticket was sold from Hess Express on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston. In addition, a woman from West Warwick claimed the $10,000 PowerBall® prize from Saturday night’s $25,000,000 drawing. The winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If she had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by two, Saturday’s Power Play® number, increasing the prize to $20,000.
The lucky winner purchased her ticket from Stop & Shop at 300 Quaker Lane, Warwick. She said she’s always wanted to go to Ireland, and now she’ll be able to with her winnings. Tonight’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $30 million.
