$50,000 Powerball® Ticket Sold in Rhode Island
Two Numbers Wins and a $10,000 Mega Millions® Win
A $50,000 winning Powerball® ticket was sold in Rhode Island for Saturday night's draw. The winning ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball® number. Had the winner purchased the Power Play® feature, the prize would have been multiplied by 2, the Power Play® number for that draw, to win $100,000. 7-Eleven, 548 Atwells Ave., Providence, sold the winning ticket.
Wednesday's estimated Powerball® jackpot is $293 million.
A Smithfield woman claimed a $26,040 Daily Numbers win from the February 22nd Evening draw. She wagered $5 on a combo bet, playing the numbers 2 1 4 3. She matched all four digits in the exact order they were drawn to win $25,000, plus $1,040 for the box bet. She plans to save her winnings. Cumberland Farms, 353 Waterman Ave., Smithfield, sold the winning ticket.
A Bristol man claimed a $10,416 Daily Numbers win from the February 22nd Midday draw. He wagered $2 on a combo bet, playing the numbers 8 3 2 1. He matched all four digits in the exact order they were drawn to win $10,000, plus $416 for the box bet. He plans to help his daughter pay for her wedding with some of his winnings. Cumberland Farms, 400 Metacom Ave., Bristol, sold the winning ticket.
A Johnston woman claimed a $10,000 winning Mega Millions® ticket from the February 9th draw. Her winning ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball. Had she purchased the Megaplier® feature for an additional dollar on her wager, her prize would have been multiplied by 3, the Megaplier® number for that draw, increasing her prize to $30,000. She plans to purchase a new car with her winnings. Convenience Plus, 1501 Atwood Ave., Johnston, sold the winning ticket.
Tuesday's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $222 million.
