Spring Brings in a Bouquet of Wins
A Cranston woman claimed the winning Wild Money jackpot ticket from the March 20th draw. Her winning ticket matched all five numbers drawn to win $148,518. She plans to do something special for her grandchildren with her winnings. Phred's Drug, 1300 Oaklawn Ave., Cranston, sold the winning ticket. Tuesday's estimated Wild Money jackpot is $24,000.
A Cumberland man claimed the $30,000 winning Mega Millions® Megaplier® ticket sold in Rhode Island for the March 20th draw. His winning ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball to win the standard prize payout of $10,000. However, he opted to purchase the Megaplier® feature for an additional dollar, which multiplied his prize by 3, the Megaplier® number for that draw, increasing his prize to $30,000. He is still in shock and does not have any immediate plans for his winnings. Pop's Liquor, 2080 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland, sold the winning ticket. Tuesday's estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $458 million, the fourth-largest in the game's history.
A Cranston woman claimed a $50,000 "Super Crossword" Instant Ticket top prize. She runs an animal rescue league, and has dedicated her life to rescuing, adopting, and fostering animals. She plans to use the majority of her winnings to continue her efforts and to stock up on pet food and dog beds. Greenwood Liquor Center, 2725 Post Rd., Warwick, sold the winning ticket.
A Chepachet woman claimed a $10,000 "The Perfect Gift" Instant Ticket top prize. She received ten "The Perfect Gift" Instant Tickets from her brother-in-law for her birthday, and to her surprise, one of the tickets was a $10,000 winner! She plans to put her winnings in the bank. Cumberland Farms, 1556 Post Rd., Warwick, sold the winning ticket.
While visiting family in Rhode Island, a man from Franklin Square, New York, won $20,832 on the March 23rd Daily Numbers Evening draw. He wagered $2 on a four-digit straight bet and $2 on a combo bet. He matched all four digits in the exact order they were drawn to win $10,000 on the straight bet, plus $10,832 for the combo bet, equaling $20,832. He plans to do some shopping with his winnings. Moon Market, 579B Reservoir Ave., Cranston, sold the winning tickets.
