$15,000 Daily Numbers Winner $10,000 Winning Valentine’s Day PowerBall® Ticket Claimed
Number 5 2 6 3 proved to be very lucky for a Cranston man that claimed a $15,000 prize first thing this morning. He had done three $1 four-digit straight bets for yesterday’s drawing that equaled $5,000 each and, when combined, totaled $15,000. He said he always plays that number combination because it was his brother’s license plate number. With the economy as it is, the winner said the winnings were a godsend and he’ll be putting the money in the bank. One Stop Shop on Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston sold the winning tickets. The $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold in Rhode Island for the $92.7 million PowerBall® drawing on February 14 has been claimed. The Brockton, Mass., woman said she plans to put the money in the bank as well, and she also wants use it for an upcoming trip she has planned to Atlantic City, NJ. The winning ticket was purchased from Rumford Market, 1246 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If she had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by five, Saturday’s Power Play® number, increasing the prize to $50,000. Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $105 million.
