$50,000 Powerball® Winner
Wild Money Jackpot Ticket Claimed & High Numbers Payout on Mother’s Day
A Providence man claimed the $50,000 winning Powerball® ticket sold in Rhode Island for Saturday night’s draw. His winning ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball® number to win $50,000. Had he purchased the Power Play® feature, his prize would have been multiplied by 3, the Power Play® number for that draw, to win $150,000. He said his win came at the perfect time because he just started renovating his house. Speedway, 440 Smithfield Ave., Providence, sold the winning ticket.
Wednesday’s estimated Powerball® jackpot is $280 million.
A Tiverton man claimed the $20,000 winning Wild Money jackpot ticket from the May 10th draw. He and his wife are overjoyed about their win. They have no immediate plans for their winnings and said they are simply thankful for a good life and great win. Cumberland Farms, 1860 Main Rd., Tiverton, sold the winning ticket.
Tonight’s estimated Wild Money jackpot is $22,000.
Additionally, the Daily Numbers Midday drawing for Sunday, May 13, made Mother’s Day an extra special day for some Rhode Island Lottery players. The lucky numbers drawn were 1 1 1 6, which paid out 1,007%. A Chepachet man was one of the winners, claiming $145,000! He wagered $5 on five four-digit straight bets, plus $2 on two four-digit straight bets. He matched all four digits in the exact order they were drawn to win $25,000 on each $5 bet, and $10,000 on each $2 bet, equaling $145,000. He plans to invest in his business with his winnings. Christy’s Liquors, 1184 Putnam Pike, Chepachet, sold the winning tickets.
