Providence Man and Two Friends Win $18,000 Playing Keno Plus
A Providence man claimed an $18,000 Keno Plus win to be split amongst him and two of his friends. They pooled their money together and purchased a few Keno tickets at Elmhurst Pub, 670 Smith St., Providence, on Sunday, June 10th. On their $18,000 winning ticket, they wagered $1 on a seven-spot Keno game and matched all seven numbers to win $4,500. However, since they opted to play Keno Plus, doubling their base wager, their prize was multiplied by four, the Keno Plus number drawn, to win $18,000. The man, who claimed the prize on behalf of the three friends, said he will probably pay bills with his portion of the winnings. As for his friends, he’s not sure what they plan to do.
