$10,000 Winning Mega Millions® Ticket Sold in R.I.
$50,000 Instant Win & Two Big Daily Numbers Wins
A $10,000 winning Mega Millions® ticket was sold in Rhode Island for Friday night’s draw. The winning ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball to win the standard prize of $10,000. Had the winner purchased the Megaplier® feature for an additional dollar on the wager, the prize would have been multiplied by 5, the Megaplier® number for Friday’s draw, increasing the prize to $50,000. Shaw’s Supermarket, 15 Smithfield Rd., North Providence, sold the winning ticket. The prize remains unclaimed.
Tonight’s estimated Mega Millions® jackpot is $75 million.
A woman from North Windham, Connecticut, claimed a $50,000 “Gold Bullion” Instant Ticket top prize. She said she plans to simply enjoy her winnings. Cumberland Farms, 149 Granite St., Westerly, sold the winning ticket.
A Warwick man claimed a $10,832 Daily Numbers win from the August 4th Midday draw. He wagered $2 on a combo bet, playing the numbers 6 2 5 6. He matched all four numbers in the exact order they were drawn to win $10,000 on the straight bet, plus $832 for the box bet. He does not have any immediate plans for his winnings. US Dollar Mart, 2424 West Shore Rd., Warwick, sold the winning ticket.
A Mapleville man claimed a $10,624 Daily Numbers win from the August 9th Midday draw. He played the number 8 1 4 5, wagering $1 on two combo bets and $1 on a box bet. He matched all four numbers in the exact order they were drawn to win $10,000 on the straight bet, plus a total of $624 on the box bets. He said he’ll let his wife decide what they do with their winnings. Serio’s Pizzarama & Restaurant, 405 Church St., Pascoag, sold the winning tickets.
