$200,000 PowerBall® Ticket Claimed
The $200,000 winning PowerBall® ticket from Saturday night’s drawing was claimed today by a Coventry man with his wife. They said they’d be putting the money in the bank, but would enjoy it a little as well. The winner wants to buy a motorcycle and said maybe he’d buy a car for his wife.
The winning ticket matched all five numbers, but not the PowerBall® number, for a standard payout of $200,000. The player did not opt to purchase the PowerPlay® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, his winnings would have been multiplied by five, no matter what PowerPlay® number was drawn, to equal $1,000,000. The $200,000 winning PowerBall® ticket was purchased at Crestwood Wine & Spirits, 725 Tiogue Ave., Coventry. Wednesday’s estimated jackpot is $32 million.
