Big Wins for Daily Numbers® and PowerBall®
 
The Rhode Island Lottery had some big winners come in today for Daily Numbers® and PowerBall®. 
 
A Providence man cashed in five separate tickets for the March 19 Daily Numbers® drawing all using the same number combination, 3 9 7 9, to win $22,708.  Four of his tickets were one dollar wagers on 4-digit straight bets winning him $5,000 each.  The third ticket was a one-dollar 4-digit combo bet, which came to $2,708.  He bought all of his winning tickets from Diaz Liquors, 700 Prairie Ave., Providence.
 
In addition, there was a $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket from the January 28 drawing claimed by a Warwick man.  The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, winning the standard payout, $10,000. The winner said his wife found a bunch of old tickets when she was cleaning and was going to throw them away.  Luckily he grabbed them to check if they’re winners and found out one was worth $10,000.  The couple plans to use the money to pay bills.
  
Dairy Land Farms, 723 Quaker Ln., West Warwick, sold the winning ticket.
 
Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $70 million.
