Two $10,000 Winning PowerBall® Tickets Claimed
The two $10,000 PowerBall® winners from Saturday night’s PowerBall® drawing have come forward. Seoane Jimenez, Providence, came in to the Lottery’s Validations office with her mother and brother to claim her prize. (Photo attached.) She plans to use her winnings for bills, although her brother said he would like some new games for his X-Box 360. Tropical Liquors on Cranston Street in Providence sold the winning ticket. In addition, a man from East Providence came to claim the other $10,000 prize from the April 4 drawing. He bought his winning ticket from Cumberland Shell at 4150 Mendon Rd., Cumberland, and plans to put the money in the bank. Both winning tickets matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winners did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If they had, the $10,000 prizes would have been multiplied by three, Saturday’s Power Play® number, increasing their prizes to $30,000. Tonight’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $143 million.
