$10,000 PowerBall® Prize About to Expire
$280,000 Worth of PowerBall® Prizes Still Unclaimed
Someone may be about to throw away $10,000. One Rhode Island Lottery player bought a PowerBall® ticket for the May 7, 2008, drawing from Sam’s Food Store at 948 Eddie Dowling Hwy., North Smithfield, and has yet to claim the prize. In addition to this $10,000 prize, there is another $270,000 worth of unclaimed high tier PowerBall® prizes in Rhode Island. Players have a year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize before it is turned over to the State’s General Fund .
