$1,000,000 PowerBall® Power Play® Winner Plus Two $200,000 PowerBall® Winning Tickets
Rhode Island has a new millionaire after last night’s $94.7 million PowerBall® jackpot drawing. The player didn’t hit the big jackpot but did win $1,000,000. For just $1 extra, the player added the Power Play® feature to the base wager, which multiplied the $200,000 prize by five to equal $1,000,000. Li’l General at 600 Main St., Pawtucket, sold the winning $1,000,000 ticket.
Last night’s drawing also had two winners of $200,000 both of whom missed out on the $1,000,000 just because they did not wager the extra $1 for Power Play®. Both of these winning tickets were sold from Paul’s Shell at 1036 Reservoir Ave., Cranston.
Each of the three winning tickets matched all five numbers, but not the PowerBall® number. All three were lucky, but one was luckier just for having purchased the Power Play®, turning a $200,000 prize into a quick $1,000,000!
Saturday’s estimated jackpot is at $109 million.
