Tonight’s PowerBall® Jackpot Estimated at $170 Million
The PowerBall® jackpot is steadily climbing and tonight’s estimated jackpot is $170 million. This current run started on April 11, 2009. There have been eleven consecutive draws without a jackpot winner, and tonight’s draw will be the twelfth. If the jackpot gets hit tonight and the winner chooses the annuity option, the $170 million jackpot would be paid over 29 years in 30 installments. If the winner chooses the cash option, the lump sum payment is estimated at $88.1 million. All players should sign the back of their tickets immediately upon purchase so no one else can wrongfully claim their prize. In addition to the rapidly growing jackpot, the subsidiary prizes, ranging up to $200,000, have many players opting for the Power Play® feature, which for an extra $1 per wager, can multiply the prize amount to up to $1,000,000.
