$10,000 Winning PowerBall® Ticket 3 Big Winners at the End of Last Week
A $10,000 winning ticket was sold in Rhode Island for Saturday night’s PowerBall® drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 5, Saturday’s Power Play® number, to equal $50,000. Hess Express on Stafford Road in Tiverton sold the winning ticket.
At the end of the day on Friday, a Providence man claimed a $10,000 PowerBall® prize from the May 27th drawing. If he had played PowerPlay® for an extra $1 on his wager, he would have won $30,000. The winner has no plans yet for the money. Cumberland Farms, 1297 Broad St., Providence, sold him the ticket.
A man from Pawtucket came in to the Lottery Validations office with six $5,000 winning Daily Numbers tickets. He said he plays in a pool with six friends, so they’ll each get $5,000. They played one-dollar wagers on 4-digit straight bets. Their lucky number was 1 2 1 7. The winning tickets were purchased from North End Variety at 905 Charles St., North Providence. Furthermore, a lucky Cumberland man won $12,000 playing Keno Plus. He played a five dollar wager on a 6 spot game and matched all six numbers to win a standard payout of $6,000. He doubled his wager and his winnings when he opted in for Keno Plus and the 2 Plus came up, multiplying his prize by 2, to equal $12,000.
