$10,000 Winners for Daily Numbers & PowerBall®
A Warwick man claimed $10,000 worth of winning Daily Numbers tickets from the June 2 drawing. He said he’s been playing the same number, 1 8 1 9, for 19 years, and had originally picked that number because it was the amount of his church’s deficit the year he started playing. The winner played four separate 4-digit straight bets, wagering 50 cents each. Therefore, he won $2,500 per ticket, totaling $10,000, all of which, he plans to put straight into the bank. Morin’s Liquor Store in Cranston sold all of the winning tickets.
In addition, there was a $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold in Rhode Island for last night’s $25 million jackpot drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by two, last night’s Power Play® number, increasing the prize to $20,000.
The winning ticket was sold from Ocean State Mobil at 1282 Elmwood Ave., Cranston, and has yet to be claimed.
Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $34 million.
