$30,000 Daily Numbers® Winner

A seventy nine-year-old woman from Central Falls, RI, claimed 6 $5,000 winning Daily Numbers tickets from the drawing on May 2, totaling $30,000. She plays in a pool with five other players, made up of family and friends, and she volunteered to pick up the winnings for the group during one of her trips to Cranston to visit her grandchildren. Each of the players in the pool will get $5,000, and she said most of them plan on using the money for bills.

They played a $1 wager on six separate 4-digit straight bets and won $5,000 each when their numbers came up in exact order. The winning number combination they played was 1 2 1 7. The winner said they each suggested a 4-digit number to play and from that group of numbers, randomly selected one that they would play on the six tickets.

North End Variety at 905 Charles St., North Providence, sold all six of the winning Daily Numbers tickets.
