Rhode Island Lottery 4th of July Winners $10,000 PowerBall® Winner & $17,000 Keno Plus Winner
A $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket was sold in Rhode Island for Saturday’s drawing, giving one lucky player a little something extra to celebrate this fourth of July. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 3, Saturday’s Power Play® number, to equal $30,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Quisqueya Liquors at 1266 Broad St., Providence. The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $30 million. There was also a $17,000 Keno Plus winner from Tiverton (photo attached). Denise Buchanan came in with her daughter on Friday to pick up her winnings, which she said they’d use to go shopping. She played a $1 wager on a ten spot game and matched 9 out of 10 numbers. The standard payout for that type of win is $4,250, but she played an extra dollar on her wager to add Keno Plus, and her prize was multiplied by 4. 177 Variety & Coffee Shop on Bulgarmarsh Road in Tiverton sold the winning ticket.
