Three $50,000 PowerBall® Power Play® Winners Plus One $10,000 PowerBall® Winning Ticket
Although the jackpot wasn’t hit for Saturday night’s drawing, the Rhode Island Lottery still had four big winners – three for $50,000 and one for $10,000. All of these players matched 4 numbers and the PowerBall® number, winning a standard payout of $10,000. By paying just $1 extra, three out of the four winners added the Power Play® feature to their base wager, so their $10,000 prize was multiplied by five, Saturday’s Power Play® number, to equal $50,000. The three $50,000 tickets have yet to be claimed and were sold from the following Retailers:
|
Colbea Enterprises 457 Benefit St. Providence |
Hess Express 2400 West Shore Rd. Warwick |
Clyde Xtra Mart 888 Main St. West Warwick |
The $10,000 winning ticket was purchased at Iggy’s Food Mart at 292 Market St., Warren. John Dalessio Jr., of Bristol, RI, came in this morning to pick up his prize (photo attached). He and his wife had never played before, but a friend told them that the jackpot was high, so they should buy a ticket. They plan to share some of their winnings with their friend and use the rest for a trip to Florida. Wednesday’s estimated jackpot is at $245 million, which will be the 10th largest PowerBall® jackpot ever won if it gets hit.
