$250,000 Quarter of a Mil Instant Game Winner
Cranston, RI (August 26, 2009) The last $250,000 prize for the Quarter of Mil Instant game was claimed today. A man from North Attleborough, Mass., claimed the winning ticket. He wasn’t sure about spending the $20 to buy this ticket, but figured he’d take a chance and is happy he did. The winner plans to use the money to buy a brand new car because he said he’s never owned a new car before. He bought the winning ticket from Beverage Hill Liquors at 265 Beverage Hill Ave., Pawtucket.
Furthermore, the $10,000 PowerBall® winner from last Wednesday’s drawing has claimed his prize. The Cranston man plans to put his money in the bank for now. His winning ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number, for a $10,000 prize. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If he had, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by five, that draw’s Power Play® number, increasing the prize to $50,000.
He purchased his winning ticket from Harbor Shell on Narragansett Boulevard in Providence. Tonight’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $25 million.
